The objective of SP3 is the specification and implementation of reusable and general-purpose, domain-independent Decision Support Services building blocks (services) suitable for rapidly building various types environmental risk management applications.

Technically, this involves specification and implementation of the necessary architectural changes and extensions to existing SOA-based (Service Oriented Architecture) open service infrastructure for decision support to take into account standardised interfaces to in-situ data and heterogeneous sensor networks. The standardised interfaces, which are the outcome of SP2, are an input to the sub project.

Due to their importance and great complexity, all the work related to fusion and modelling services has been separated from the rest of the “implementation and integration” (WP 3.3).
