We'll be there!ICT 2008 is the biggest research event in Europe for Information and Communication Technologies. It will take place in Lyon (FR) on the 25th, 26th and 27th November 2008.
It will set the agenda for ICT research and innovation in Europe for the upcoming years. The event will host leading visionaries from academia and industry and will address topics as diverse as Europe's role in shaping the future internet, ICT's contribution to advancing the sustainability agenda and alternative research paths for future ICT components and systems.

Arc Manche conference

Event summary:

The Arc Manche Assembly is a maritime network of French regions and English local authorities bordering and in the Channel Area. (Cornwall to Kent and Brittany to Nord-Pas de Calais). All levels of government and public bodies are represented.

On 3 December 2008 the Assembly will be hosting a conference in Folkestone UK entitled Adaption to Climate Change – Channel Communities in a Changing Economic Tide at which all aspects of the effect global warming on the Channel's coastal environments and its communities will be considered. The conference is unique in its focus on the effect of climate change on Channel communities and the debate will be based on modelling information from the UK Climate Impact Programme, in connection with relevant socio- economic information.
