Most of the analysis of the Earth Observation (EO) service industry done in the last years shows that the Value Added Companies produce the final deliverable with an enormous effort and have to deal with many data providers.

To overcome this problem and be ready to face new challenges - in particular set by the GMES perspective - ESA is currently running projects aimed at integrating new EO services, from multiple sources and providers, into the Service Support Environment (SSE), a neutrally managed, open and distributed platform that streamlines the definition and prototyping of EO and Geospatial Information Services.

Event summary:

This is a second public demonstration with aim to show currently available results of the prototype applications developed within SANY Project in the contest of air quality monitoring sub-project (SP4).

At this event, we shall demonstrate the use of the SANY software and Sensor Service Architecture in air monitoring, and discuss the direction of the SANY project with potential users and operators of the environmental monitoring systems. In particular, we shall address following questions:
