SANY SP4: air pollution risks sub project

SANY SP4 pilot “Air Pollution Risks” is the first of the three “application sub projects” that will be developed within SANY. The sub project starts with internal training, and ends with a public demonstration of the final application. The rest of the project consists of three phases, each being approximately one year long:

  • During the first phase (v0), the user requirements are gathered, and used to build a baseline implementation of the application based on MASS/SSE architecture.
  • In the second (v1) and third phase (v0), the application is subsequently refined, based on the user feedback and the services developed in SP2 and SP3.

Demonstration of the results is foreseen at the end of each development cycle. These event shall be used to collect feedback from service providers and improve the work in the next development cycle.

An overview of the SP4 work packages is given below:

WP4.0 Sub project management: This WP covers the technical management of the sub project and reporting.

WP4.1 Requirements analysis & specification: This WP will develop and validate a range of Air pollution use-cases, based on existing experience in the field and discussion with a range of end-users. It will subsequently define and refine the pilot specification, based on these requirements and the evaluation of the baseline implementation (WP 4.2)

WP4.2 Baseline implementation: This WP will construct a prototype based on the existing MASS/SSE platform to showcase how the application could address use-cases.

WP4.3 Application implementation: This WP will develop the application based on the specification from WP 4.1, making use of the systems implemented in core sub-projects (SP2 & SP3).

WP4.4 Pilot operation & evaluation: This WP will manage the launch and operation of the pilot application, and assess the 1st and 2nd versions of the pilot application, with emphasis on feedback from the 1st version prior to application refinement

WP4.5 Consolidation: This WP will managed the interaction between this SP and the other SPs (including communication and knowledge transfer) in the first project year.

WP4.6 Demonstration: Within this WP, the results of the SP4 will be presented to a wider public.
