12: Soldata (FR)

SolData is a service provider, offering a full range of services to its clients from technical advice and design, instrument procurement, installation, maintenance and data management through to systems assessment and factual reporting. The head office is based in France, and there are 8 main subsidiaries throughout the world. SDA counts 80 employees, mainly engineers, of different nationalities.

SDA focuses on advanced techniques, such as real time and automatic measurement/acquisition systems, powerful databases, Geographical Information Systems and the Internet to provide a global secure access to the latest information on any work site. The strenght of SDA lies in the fact that it can offer everything from the simplest instrumentation through to advanced real time automated acquisition systems.

Main areas of experience: Tunnels, Foundations, Dams, Industrial and domestic buildings, Historical buildings, Roads, Bridges and Viaducts, Ports, Railways, Industrial measurements and Airports, Geotechnics, Geophysics, Hydrology & Meteorology, Acoustics and Vibration.

Role in SANY IP:

As a result of its experience with Geo Hazards, SDA is leading the SP6 "GeoHazards validation" sub project.

Main products:

  • Geoscope-web (Restricted Access): This software controls and monitors instrumentation networks. The software is highly versatile and can be used for collecting data for monitoring a variety of sites or applications.
  • Gorgone innovative system for automatic accoustic and vibratory control.
    GORGONE is made up of a data acquisition unit able to work with up to 16 tri-axial sensors (geophones or accelerometers).

  • Cyclops (CYCLic OPtical Surveyor): This system unites the latest developments in motorized total station technology with GEOSCOPE, to create an extremely powerful and versatile automated surveying system. Co-developed by SolData and IGN.
  • Centaur: Completely automated module consisting of a motorised computer-driven levelling station. CENTAUR employs the most recent developments in target-free technology and the capabilities of SolData software to provide a powerful, user-friendly tool for automated levelling.
